Welcome to FREE Tutorial Thursday!
This week I'm stepping away from the "traditional" style card design and giving you a little WOW factor. As much as I love tradition, sometimes I want something a little more exciting.
This card design gives me just that, while still keeping the project simple.
We will be using the Floral Essence Bundle for this project.
1.) 4"x 5-1/4" Whisper White Card Stock
2.) 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper
3.) Perennial Flower Punch (2x's) in Rococo Rose Card Stock
4.) 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Rococo Rose Card Base
1.) Using Rococo Rose Ink, stamp sentiment on Layer 2, and Flowers on Layer 3. The sentiment should be stamped half way down the Layer as shown.
2.) About halfway down on 5-1/8" side of Layer 2, use Snips to make a cut. Cut should be about 1-3/4" into center of Layer. Use bone folder to fold back paper at angles. Trim ends that hang over to make the folds flush with the edge of the paper. Adhere flaps down with Snail adhesive. Adhere to Layer 1.
3.) Adhere two pieces of Layer 3 together using a glue dot in the center and off-setting the two pieces to form the flower. Use bone folder to gently curl the leaves upward. Use a glue dot to adhere Layer 3 to Layer 1.
4.) Finish off with a Perennial Essence Floral Center in the middle of Layer 3.
I will post the blog winners on Sunday. Stay tuned! Be sure to leave a comment! You can't win, if you don't play!!!

If you haven't already ordered the magnificent Magnolia Lane Memories & More cards and Magnolia Lane Memories & More Large Specialty Cards & Envelopes, you will want to after you read this post!
I used two cards from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack, and one of the card bases from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Large Specialty Cards & Envelopes. To that, I simply added two pieces of Whisper White Card stock, cut to 1/8 of an inch larger then each card, and a 16" piece of ribbon tied around the smaller layer to form the bow.
Simple as that!
I love both sides of these cards! The front side has pretty floral patterns, and the reverse side has patterns. The lovely designs make it difficult to chose which side I want to work with. Luckily, Stampin' Up! thought of this - they think of everything, don't they - and they gave us TWO of each card.
Don't just take my word about how pretty the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Cards are. Check out the video below to see for yourself.
And a lot of other people must agree with me that the Magnolia Lane Memories & More cards are beautiful because they are currently on backorder. But they will be back in stock around July 7th! So be sure to add them to your wish list!
The Magnolia Lane Memories & More Large Specialty Cards & Envelopes are available right now!
Here's the VERY short list of products used in today's featured card:
Registration for June's Card Club closes June 15th and the June Sip & Stamp closes on June 19th. Space is limited for both events!
